I'm told I will be receiving an official offer letter from the company I'm contracting with tomorrow.
I told them up front I'd only be willing to consider an offer if it was competitive with my current hourly rate, so here's hoping they don't low ball me. I went this route with this same company once before, and took a rather good size pay cut to come on board permanently. 9 months later they let me go.
Things are a bit different this time though. The company has been bought and merged into a new company. Upper management is different. And, well… I'm the only one left. Less chance of a layoff when the cheese stands alone.
So, if the money is there I'm in.
