For the third or fourth time in the last year, I started having strange problems with my vision tonight. In one of my eyes I would get this curving and zig-zagging shimmering line. It would start out as a small spot and eventually, over the course of about an hour or so, take over most of the eye. Along with the vision problem, I was getting a really nasty headache.
So I decided to look around the web and see if I could figure out what it might be. After a little bit of research, I'd confidently bet that it's a Migraine Aura. Some further searching found some paintings and drawings from people diagnosed with it, and they looked exactly like what I was seeing.
I should still probably see a doctor at some point and get an official diagnosis, but the list of symptoms before, after, and during all fit. Like my brain wasn't screwed up enough already. Add another to the list…
