It’s turned out to be quite the pleasant night tonight. It got up to around 60 degrees today, though it has been raining. I decided to walk back to my car after work (about 1/2 mile) without using my umbrella and just walk in the rain. Then I drove the (really) long way home through the park and just took in the wonderful scenery while listening to only the sound of the rain pittering and pattering on my window. All in all, very relaxing. A wonderfully mindful evening.
To top it all off, my new camera was waiting for me when I got home! My Flickr account should finally start seeing some action again now! I haven’t used it since November, when I posted photos from my San Jose trip. It’s funny, having a new camera immediately made me reflect back to that trip, I guess because that’s the last time I actually had a camera. What a wonderful three days that was, in spite of being a business trip. Got to both discover a fantastic city that I fell in love with (and will probably one day move to) and meet a fantastic woman that I could easily fall in love with (but will probably never even see face-to-face again.) Ahhh… memories.
Now… back to the present. “Keep being mindful, John.” he says to himself.
