As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve gone on a diet and am in the process of trying to lose 40 pounds. I started off at 200 pounds three weeks ago, and my goal is to get down to 160. I figure I’ll try and post weekly updates each weekend, so here’s how it’s gone so far:
Oct 01: 192 Sep 24: 195 Sep 17: 198 Sep 10: 200
Eight pounds in three weeks? I can live with that. That’ll get me to my initial target weight around January, which will work out well. After I’ve lost the 40 pounds of fat my goal is to start building a little bit of muscle (not a lot, just enough for a little bit of tone, something easy enough to maintain.) So, if things continue according to schedule, I should be where I want to be by spring and this year I won’t have to worry about not having layers of winter clothes to hid my out-of-shape ass any more!
